Steels Take the Next Step Up in Park Royal

GLi is pleased to announce the practical completion of its much-anticipated PR1 unit on Abbey Road, Park Royal.

The state-of-the-art 61,611 sq ft warehouse achieved practical completion on Friday 9 th February. Pre-let to gourmet food supplier, Classic Fine Foods, the PR1 unit has already made waves, having won the prestigious ‘Deal of the Year - 50,000 to 100,000 sq ft’ at last year’s Industrial Agents Society (IAS) Awards.

David Johnson, Chief Executive Officer, GLi, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "We develop future-proofed properties to save occupiers' energy and operational costs, allowing businesses to thrive in an all-electric future of solar power, battery storage, and electric van delivery. The Net Zero 2030 plans for London and government legislation mean that businesses in Park Royal and across the capital will have to comply with new rules for net-zero operations. Our units deliver that."

PR1 sets a new standard for sustainable industrial units, boasting features such as all-electric power, PV solar rooftop panels, on-site battery storage, and 100% EV van fleet charging as standard. This future-proofed design aligns seamlessly with the Mayor of London’s 2030 regulations, positioning PR1 at the forefront of sustainable industrial development.

Luke Le Brun, Director, Asset Management at PATRIZIA, commented, "The completion of PR1 marks a significant milestone for GLi and reflects our commitment to delivering innovative, sustainable solutions in the industrial sector that support the challenges of urbanisation and decarbonisation. We are proud to be at the forefront of transforming the industrial landscape in greater London and unlocking value for our investors through our urban logistics platform."

Strategically located in Park Royal, PR1 offers easy access to Central London and the UK transport network, making it an ideal choice for businesses seeking prime industrial space with excellent connectivity and ample room for growth and development.

Furthermore, GLi’s next property, PR2, is already underway on Abbey Road. Boasting similar cost-saving features to PR1 but with a larger footprint of 77,705 sq ft, PR2 has already attracted interest from occupiers looking for modern, sustainable space in Park Royal.

The completion of PR1 marks a significant milestone for GLi, underlining its commitment to future-proofed properties that will shape the future of industrial infrastructure in greater London.

GLi is a joint venture between PATRIZIA, the global real estate fund, and KSP, the London-based industrial developer and asset manager. For more information, please click here
